How can I reuse or recycle … plastic can holder things?
We went for a walk in a local wood the other weekend and while we were walking around, I saw one of those plastic things that holds together four packs of (usually drink) cans.
It was still intact so I picked it up to tear it apart (none of the non-existent deers that are supposed to live in that wood would be choke on it on my watch) but as I did so, it made me wonder whether those seagulls-killers have any possible reuses.
Any suggestions?

Firstly, avoid buying 4 packs. If, however you do end up with the plastic can holders, you can re-use them as plant ties and plant supports in the garden and they can be re-used each year
I found these suggestions on-line at another recycling site:
Plastic Rings (six packs)
Tie together and use as a trellis for roses.
String together into “chicken wire” and erect around the garden so your dog will know that it is off-limits. Support with wooden handles from shovels, brooms, etc.
Make into a hot pad by cutting each ring separate to form a circle. Double-crochet around each ring. Sew the six smaller rings together to form one large circle.
our local off licence collectrs them to reuse
You can make snowflakes out of them. Here is a link to a website that shows you how to di this.

use a lighter to meld them all together and use as a dolphin-catcher
do you mean to catch live Dolphins?
if you do bin these plastic things, please cut them up so an animal can’t get trapped in them. They can kill (the Simpsons and Happy Feet have shown this!)
I use them when I plant tomato vines and it helps with supporting the branches.
After you use pots made of mud don’t throw them because it takes almost 1000 years to form a layer of soil.
As a sock tidy.
i heard of someone who strung these together to make a hammock. not sure how comfortable it was tho…
My mother makes a beach bag out of them…my non-profit is accepting them as donations for this purpose for a fundraiser…anyone who has some in the DC area…we gladly accept
Would your mother be willing to share her directions for the beach bag with us?
You can cut the circles apart, and make a decorative pot holder with them.
Don’t thorow it out in the beach
Does anyone have a crocheted potholder pattern made with these plastic holders? I have heard of one and cannot find it. Would love to hear from anyone that has any ideas.
